Completed in 1962, the USS Arizona Memorial was built as a lasting tribute to the sailors and marines who died when the battleship sunk during Japan’s surprise attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941.
In 1980, USS Arizona Memorial opened its doors to the public. Over the years, the historic attraction has gained enormous popularity, welcoming tourists from all over the world. On May 5, 1989 the USS Arizona’s sunken remains were declared a National Historic Landmark.
Visitors touring this national memorial will find that the historic site is divided into 3 main parts: Entry, Assembly Room, and Shrine. Inside the shrine is the famous Memorial Wall where the names of the Arizona’s 1177 crew members are forever etched.

The cemetery serves as the final resting place of war victims who served and died during World Wars I and II, Vietnam War, and the Korean War. This part is a drive through and if you do not like it we tell our chauffeur to take you directly back to your hotel in Waikiki. For those clients who are not staying in Waikiki and staying out side of Waikiki we have pick up option with extra charge.
