Lanikai Beach may only be a small 0.5 mile stretch but it’s been constantly ranked as one the best and most picturesque beaches in the world. The beach is hidden and is only accessible through public beach access paths.
This isolated spot is perfect for a safe and peaceful morning swim. At night, it is a great place to watch the moon rise over the Mokulua islands. The prevailing trade winds make it a great place for windsurfing and sailing. The clear waters make it ideal for snorkeling.
The beach’s pristine white sands, calm waves, clear turquoise water and lush tropical plants makes it a popular destination for many tourists looking to get away from the more crowded beaches.
Lanikai is relatively empty during weekdays but can become crowded on weekends and during peak seasons.
Note: There are none of the usual tourist facilities such as showers, lifeguards, and restrooms in the area. Because Lanikai Beach is located in between residential areas, the parking space is limited.
